Quad City High School Robotics Team

QC Elite Robotics Team 648 is one of the only US FIRST bi-state robotic teams that invites high school students from both the Iowa and Illinois Quad City region high schools to participate. We currently have active students from Davenport West, Moline High School and Sherrard High School.

Activities

 

     During the year we have team activities including the main FRC Robot season, cardboard boat races (during the summer) and FIRST Lego competition.

QC Elite Community Outreach


The QC Elite team has kept active in our local community as we have volunteered and supported local events. Community involvement and mentoring has become an important goal for Team 648 where volunteering though community service projects helps encourage motivation, team work, and positive exposure of our team.

  • Living Lands and Waters clean-ups - Xtreme Cleanup - cleaned up an area waterway
  • Festival of Trees - donated time for success of local event
  • Sherrard Community Library - purchased and donated tree for silent auction to assist in raising funds for the library
  • Collected can tabs for Ronald McDonald House charities
  • Relay for Life - raised money to help patients with cancer
  • Honored QC Elite alumni who have joined and are serving in the military
  • Adopt-a-Road highway cleanup; Davenport, Iowa
